Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 chicken, roasted and cut into 10 pieces
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 pinch of lemon zest, grated
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 cup(s) milk, at least 3.5%

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Balinese curry chicken

Heat the oil in a pan and gently sauté the onion, garlic, and curry. Reduce the heat, add the chicken pieces, and fry briefly. Add all the remaining ingredients to the pan and simmer over low heat for about 40 minutes. Serve with basmati or Thai rice. A salad of soybean sprouts and bamboo shoots goes well with this dish.
