Almond marzipan balls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 almonds, whole
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 40 g almonds, ground
  • 4 tbsp wheat flour
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 180 g marzipan paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Pour hot water over the almonds to completely cover them, let them stand for about 10 minutes, then remove the skins. Separate the egg and knead the egg white with the ground almonds, flour, powdered sugar, and marzipan. Divide the dough into 20 pieces and shape into small balls with wet hands. Decorate each with an almond. Brush the almond-marzipan balls with egg yolk, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
