Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 slices of wholemeal toast (sandwich toast)
  • 2 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 slice(s) turkey breast, very thinly sliced ​​or minute pork schnitzel
  • 1 slice(s) cheese (Gouda or Chester or Cheddar cheese)
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • 4 slice(s) cucumber(s) and/or tomato slices
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • some salt and pepper
  • n. B. Chips (potato chips), salted, possibly

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Lunch for SiS, or insulin-separating diet

First, fry the bacon slices in a pan until slightly crispy. Place them on kitchen paper to cool. Brown the meat in the same pan without adding any further fat. Lightly toast the slices of toast in a toaster. Blend the mayonnaise and mustard with lemon, salt, and pepper until smooth. Spread one side of the toast with the mayonnaise and mustard mixture. Place a lettuce leaf on top, then the bacon and the cucumber and/or tomato slices. Spread the next slice of toast on both sides and place on top. Add another lettuce leaf, then the cheese and meat. Finally, place the third slice of toast, which has also been spread with the cream on one side. Secure with two toothpicks and cut diagonally. Serve the club sandwiches with salted chips.
