Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bottle of schnapps (Doppelkorn, 0.7 l)
  • 180 g rock sugar, dark
  • 10 g anise seeds
  • 5 g fennel seeds
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 3 stalks of thyme
  • 8 leaves of sage, fresh
  • 10 leaves of oregano, fresh
  • some rosemary needles, fresh or dried
  • 1 bay leaf, dried
  • 4 carnations

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 28 days; Total time approx. 28 days 10 minutes

Digestive schnapps

Combine all ingredients in a sufficiently large container (preferably a glass jar) and let it steep at room temperature for at least 4 weeks. Strain, bottle, and enjoy ice-cold after a hearty meal! Dark rock candy gives a more beautiful color; I prefer brown rock candy, dark crust rock candy, or chunky rock candy. White rock candy or brown sugar also works.
