Anise Biscuits …

The perfect anise biscuits … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g Ground almonds
  • 100 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon peel flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Ground anise
  • 150 g Butter
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 10 Milliliters Ouzo
  • Powdered sugar
  • Winter decor sprinkles
  • 6 tablespoon Plum jam
  1. Mix the flour with the almonds, powdered sugar, flavor and anise in a bowl. Add the butter and egg yolk. Knead into a smooth dough. Wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator for an hour.
  2. Roll out the dough on a little flour. Cut out biscuits with and without a hole (half each). Bake in the oven at 175 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  3. Beat icing sugar with lemon juice and ouzo until smooth. Glaze the biscuits with holes with it. Spread the sprinkles on top. Let dry.
  4. Heat the plum jam. Brush the biscuits without a hole with it and press the glazed biscuits on top.
