Apple and almond cake with egg liqueur

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 apples
  • a little butter
  • a little cinnamon
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 200 g almonds, sliced ​​or chopped
  • 200 g sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 4 tbsp cream or milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Sheet cake

Peel and dice the apples. Briefly sauté them in a little butter and cinnamon and let cool slightly. Then stir together the ingredients for the batter. Pour the batter onto a prepared baking sheet and spread the apple mixture on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the topping in a saucepan. Combine the butter, sugar, cream, and almonds and heat. Pour the mixture onto the pre-baked cake. Bake the cake at the same temperature for another 10-15 minutes.
