Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g butter, soft
- 300 g sugar
- 1 tbsp, leveled Bourbon vanilla sugar
- 4 eggs, size M
- 300 g wheat flour type 405
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 kg apples, sour
- 100 g walnuts, chopped
- 250 g wheat flour
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tbsp Bourbon vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
- 200 g butter, melted
- Grease for the tray
- Walnuts, ground
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
makes 1 tray
Grease a roasting pan and lightly sprinkle with the ground nuts. Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy, then gradually add the sugar mixed with the vanilla sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in. Spread the batter evenly on the baking sheet. Peel, quarter, core, and roughly dice the apples, then spread evenly over the batter and sprinkle with half of the chopped walnuts. Make a crumble using the flour, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla sugar, melted butter, and the remaining walnuts. Add 1-2 tablespoons more flour if needed. Spread the crumble over the apples. Place the baking sheet in the center of the oven and bake the cake for about 45 minutes.
