Apple Berliners
The perfect apple berliners recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 ml Lukewarm milk
- 500 g Flour
- 1 dice Fresh yeast
- 60 g Butter
- 60 g Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 pinch Salt
- Cut apples in small cubes as much as you like
- Oil for frying
- Sugar to sprinkle on
- Mix the warm milk with the yeast and a little sugar and let stand. Put the flour with the remaining sugar, eggs and salt in the food processor. Add the yeast milk and knead everything into a smooth dough. Berliner pastry is a little softer, but you can no longer stick to the bowl. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Knead the dough again, sprinkle with flour and leave to rest for 15 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface, cover with apple cubes and press down a little. Roll the dough into a roll and divide into even slices. Heat the oil in a saucepan and add the donuts Bake in it until golden brown.
