Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 100 g margarine
- 100 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 drops of lemon flavor
- 150 g flour
- 50 g cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 500 g apples, cut into pieces
- 100 g flour
- 75 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 75 g margarine
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
In a bowl, cream together the margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, and a pinch of salt. Add the lemon zest. Combine the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder and stir into the mixture to make a shortcrust pastry. For the crumble, knead the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, and margarine. Spread the apple pieces evenly over the dough in the pan and crumble the crumble over the top. Bake the cake at 160°C (fan oven) on the middle rack for about 45 minutes, until the crumble is light golden brown.
