Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g apples
  • ½ lemon(s), juice
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 60 g walnuts, ground
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g butter
  • 120 g sugar, fine
  • 2 eggs, size M – L
  • 60 ml milk
  • 60 g walnuts, coarsely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

a 26 cm springform pan

Line the bottom of a 26 cm springform pan with baking paper. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice and arrange them in a circle, overlapping, on the bottom of a 26 cm springform pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). While the oven is preheating, you have enough time to prepare the batter. Roughly chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a water bath. Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ground walnuts, and salt together in a bowl. Beat the room-temperature butter and sugar with a hand mixer for 5 minutes until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the flour mixture, two-thirds of the melted dark chocolate, and the milk. Spread the batter evenly over the apple slices. Bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes. When the cake is finished, turn it out onto a cake plate while it is still hot and let it cool. Using a tablespoon, spread the remaining melted chocolate in thin strands over the cake. If the chocolate has solidified too much, heat it briefly again in a water bath. Sprinkle the coarsely chopped walnuts over the cake. A little whipped cream goes perfectly with this delicious apple chocolate cake!
