Apple-Cranberry Crumble

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g spelt flour, type 630
  • 50 g oat flakes, wholemeal
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 4 apples, sweet and sour, also different varieties
  • 100 g cranberries
  • 100 g hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

with spelt flour and oat flakes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Finely chop the hazelnuts with a knife or a food processor. Melt the butter. For the dough, combine the flour, oats, 80g sugar, hazelnuts, and salt. Add the melted butter and mix until crumbly. Grease a baking dish with butter. Place the peeled apple cubes and cranberries in the dish and pour the lime juice over the fruit. Sprinkle the cinnamon powder, the remaining sugar, and the vanilla bean pulp over the fruit. Finally, scatter the crumbs evenly over the crumble. Bake the crumble for 30 minutes at 180°C (350°F). Let it cool before serving, then enjoy with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, for example.
