Ingredients
- 5 Pc. Apple
- 1 Pc. Vanilla pod
- Brown sugar
- 100 ml Cider
- 3 Pc. Egg yolk
- 100 g White sugar
- 50 g Almonds
- Calvados
Instructions
- Peel the apples and cut them into pieces of the same size. Heat a pan and caramelize the brown sugar. Deglaze with cider and calvados. Add the vanilla and apples and simmer briefly, about 5 minutes, then put in a baking dish and let cool.
- Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar and then fold in the almonds. Pour the mixture over the apples and smooth out, then bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 5 minutes until the egg whites are golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream or eggnog or both.
