Bodensdorf apple strudel

Knead flour, butter (or margarine), wine, and salt into a dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for a few hours. Divide the dough into 2-3 pieces and roll each one out into a rectangle. Sprinkle the center of each piece of dough long side with oats, top with apple slices, nuts, chocolate pieces, raisins, sugar, and cinnamon, and beat together. Place on a baking sheet lined with paper and brush the surface with beaten egg. Bake the finished strudel at a high temperature (200°C) until golden brown. Allow to cool and sprinkle with sugar. Tip: This apple strudel tastes particularly good served fresh from the oven with whipped cream.
