Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 1 kg apples
  • 50 g raisins
  • ½ tsp cardamom, ground
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 30 g almond flakes
  • 250 ml cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch(s) cardamom, ground
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

A flat apple pie, served lukewarm with spiced cream

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit). Peel the apples and slice them into thin slices. Brush a tart pan with 1 tablespoon of oil. Alternatively, you can use a springform pan, but you should cover it with aluminum foil because the batter will be very runny. Place the apple slices and raisins in the springform pan. Whisk 5 tablespoons of oil with the sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar until fluffy, then stir in the eggs, cinnamon, and cardamom. Finally, stir in the flour and milk, then pour the batter over the apples. Bake at 225 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes, then sprinkle the flaked almonds over the cake. Bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until the almonds are lightly browned. Season the cream with 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar and a good pinch each of cinnamon and cardamom, and whip until stiff peaks form. Serve with the lukewarm cake. Makes about 8 servings.
