Apple waffles

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs, size M
  • 200 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 150 ml milk
  • 2 apples
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Oil for the waffle iron

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

For the batter, cream the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon powder and stir in alternately with the milk. Wash the apples, peel if necessary, and coarsely grate them. Fold the grated apples into the batter. Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease if necessary. Bake the waffles one at a time. Important: Let the waffles cool slightly on a wire rack, then sprinkle with powdered sugar. The batter yields approximately 6 waffles.
