Applesauce with the steamer

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized apples *
  • some cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

MB compatible

*For MB, the applesauce must be made from the following varieties: – Cox Orange – Boskop – Berlepsch – Gravensteiner – Jakob Fischer – Jonathan. Peel the apples, cut them into eighths, and core them. Preheat the steamer to 96 degrees Celsius. Distribute the apples into the steamer dishes. Once the steamer is preheated, cook the dishes in the steamer for 20-25 minutes. Then, place the apples in a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired. Mash the apples with a masher. It can then be eaten immediately or stored in the refrigerator for at least 4 days (it hasn’t lasted any longer than that for me).
