Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g margarine
  • 100 g honey
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 250 g apricot jam, for the filling
  • 200 g chocolate glaze, for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 52 minutes

Makes approximately 50 cookies. Combine flour and baking powder and sift onto the countertop. Add margarine, honey, sugar, egg, vanilla sugar, ground nuts, and gingerbread spice and knead into a shortcrust pastry. Chill. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out hearts. Place them on a prepared baking sheet. Place a little apricot jam in the center of the hearts. Place a second heart on top and bake at 180°C for approximately 12 minutes. Once cooled, decorate the cookies with chocolate icing, if desired.
