Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 1,000 g goulash, beef
- 4 tsp oil
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt and pepper
- 100 g tomato paste
- 500 ml water, possibly more
- 2 gherkins
- 500 g yogurt, 0.1%
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
a goulash variant, suitable for WWII
Brown the beef, season, and add the onion and sugar. Add the diced cucumber, tomato paste, and water, and simmer until the meat is tender (about 1.5 hours). Add a little more water if necessary. Thicken with yogurt and season to taste. Serve with green beans and potatoes.
