Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg berries (chokeberries)
  • 500 g white rock sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 2 vanilla pods

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

on ice, in mineral water or Prosecco

Sauté and crush the fresh aronia berries in a saucepan until a fine puree forms. Strain the puree through an old cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Measure out 600 ml of the syrup, then mix it with the rock sugar and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Boil the liquid until the rock sugar is completely dissolved. Then pour the syrup into small bottles.
