Asian salad dressing

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (rice vinegar)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp honey or agave / pear / apple syrup
  • 1 tsp oil (sesame oil)
  • 2 tbsp oil (sunflower oil), cold-pressed
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted (as a garnish for the salad)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

In a cup, mix the soy sauce and rice vinegar. Add the salt and mix with a fork until dissolved. Add the honey or agave syrup and mix thoroughly. First, add the sesame oil, then slowly mix in the sunflower oil with a fork. Season with pepper to taste. Mix the dressing thoroughly into the salad and finally sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. If you’re unsure about the correct amount of salt and pepper, you can make the dressing without adding any salt and pepper and instead sprinkle the salad with salt and pepper before mixing in the dressing. The dressing goes well with leaf salads or leaf salads enriched with vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers, corn, or other ingredients that are also found in Asian cuisine. It’s especially good when added to the salad with fresh spinach and hearty sprouts!
