Asian-style celery salad

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g celery, peeled
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 tbsp ginger, freshly grated or finely chopped
  • some chili pepper(s)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 ½ tbsp honey, liquid

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the peeled celery in lightly salted water for about 15-20 minutes until al dente, let cool, and slice. Pour about 50 ml of the cooking water into a bowl. Slice the spring onions into rounds and finely chop the chili pepper. Stir into the cooking broth along with the honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Mix in the celery slices and marinate for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
