Asparagus toast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg asparagus, fresh
  • 150 g breakfast bacon
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • ¼ liter cream
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 slices of toast

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Cook the asparagus as usual (you can also use asparagus from a jar if necessary) and keep warm. Dice the bacon and fry in a pan until crispy, then keep warm. Dice the onion and sauté. Then add the cream and bring to a boil. Mix in the cornstarch and use it to thicken the sauce. Toast the bread and divide it between 4 plates. Then place the asparagus on top, pour the sauce over it, top with the bacon cubes, and sprinkle with the parsley. It’s a great starter or as a snack. Have fun making this recipe.
