Asparagus with orange and mustard sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus
  • 1 orange(s), juice and grated peel
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 slice(s) lemon(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the asparagus and cook in boiling water with salt, sugar, and a lemon wedge until al dente. Reserve the asparagus stock. Heat the butter, stir in the flour, and deglaze with a little asparagus stock while stirring. Simmer for a few minutes. Stir in the orange zest, juice, and mustard. Place the asparagus in a baking dish, pour the sauce over it, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 200°C until the cheese melts.
