Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1,000 g asparagus, white
- 300 g bacon (slices)
- 6 slices butter (thin slices)
- Salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Peel two-thirds of the asparagus spears and rub them with a little salt. Wrap each spear in a spiral with two slices of bacon, leaving the heads free. Place the spears next to each other in a roasting pan or spread them out on a deeper baking sheet, forming a single layer. Spread a little butter in thin slices over the spears and the unwrapped heads. Cover the roasting pan with a lid or place another upside-down baking sheet over the lined baking sheet. Cook the asparagus in the oven for about 35 minutes. Then remove the lid and grill the asparagus spears for about 6 more minutes on a medium grill setting. Serve with fried potatoes.
