Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 1 pack of mozzarella
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • spring onion(s)
  • Garlic, fresh
  • oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the tomatoes and then slice them. Add oil to an iron skillet and arrange the tomato slices, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the cleaned spring onions, garlic clove, and finely torn basil over the top. Then slice the mozzarella and arrange it over everything, finishing with another portion of the basil. Now place the whole thing over a low heat and let it sizzle until the cheese melts. This also works in an oven or outdoors on an open fire over a tripod when camping.
