Ate Too Much? Iron Out Small Sins

Ate too much

Okay, it’s almost impossible to consistently do nothing but good for your body. Sometimes the day is stressful, the food is greasy than expected, or we have eaten too much again.

These are signals that we should not take lightly – for example, headaches, lack concentration, palpitations, and stomach pressure. When we’ve eaten too much, the body warns us: be careful, if this goes on for too long I’ll get sick! Luckily we can take countermeasures. If we stop physical disorders quickly and purposefully, our sins stay small – and we stay fit for a long time.

I ate too many sweets

Good for the mood, bad for the immune system and the figure: Especially when the weather is cloudy, we like to reach for sweets, chocolate, and the like. Our brain rewards sweets. But the blood sugar level rises sharply and falls rapidly again shortly after the “sugar flash” – body stress that even weakens the immune system. And the calories are found in the hips.

Compensation If you have not only eaten too much hearty but also too many sweets, a fruit salad is the best compensation. Good ingredients are local apple varieties (e.g. Boskop) – they provide substances that strengthen the immune system and help to regulate blood sugar. Kiwis donate a lot of vitamin C without spray residues because their firm skin protects them from it. Add a birch leaf tea (pharmacy): it helps the kidneys to excrete excess sugar.

Ate too quickly

Unfortunately, far too often, we don’t have time to eat. Everything always has to happen very quickly because we have so many important things to do. But the wolfed meal weighs heavily in your stomach, maybe even causing uncomfortable stomach cramps or nausea.

Balancing calcium helps quite quickly. The mineral neutralizes excess stomach acid, which prevents heartburn and also protects the esophagus from rising acid. Calcium also soothes the sensitive stomach lining. To do this, dissolve a calcium tablet (pharmacy) in a glass of water that is not too cold. Drink up slowly.

Had too much alcohol

The evening was so nice. No wonder you drank a glass too many. But alcohol deprives the body of important nutrients and minerals. That’s the reason for the hangover.

Balance An extra portion of magnesium helps. Simply dissolve an effervescent tablet from the pharmacy in a glass of water. Medicinal water with more than 100 mg of magnesium per liter is also good. And: Walnuts provide many nutrients.
