Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 slice(s) pork neck, boneless
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger root, finely chopped
- 1 clove(s) garlic, chopped
- 3 tbsp peanut oil
- 4 tbsp kebab manis
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- salt and pepper
- 4 tbsp peanut oil
- 3 tbsp palm sugar
- 1 small onion(s), chopped
- 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp chili sauce
- 2 dl water
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped
Instructions

Sweet and sour pork from Indonesia
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade well. Place the meat in a bowl and pour the marinade over it. Cover with aluminum foil and let it marinate for 2-3 hours. Place the meat and marinade in a saucepan, cover with water, and simmer uncovered over low heat for 1-1.5 hours until the liquid has largely evaporated. Then let the meat cool, cut into strips, and sear in peanut oil in a hot wok. Sprinkle with palm sugar and let it caramelize. Add the onion and garlic and deglaze with the vinegar. Add the ketchup, tomato paste, chili sauce, and water and let it reduce slightly. Sprinkle with coriander and serve with rice.
