A vertical top-heat grill (Beefer) is used here. Grill the bacon quite high up. When crispy, lower it to keep warm and grill the patty on top. About a minute later, place the bun halves on the bottom to toast. When the patty is cooked, top with bacon and cheese and place on the middle rack to grill. Top the bottom of the bun with mayonnaise, lettuce leaves, and onion rings. Place the grilled patty on the bun half, top with BBQ sauce, tomatoes, and onions, and place the top half of the bun on top.
