Bacon-wrapped dates (stuffed with walnuts)

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 20 slices of bacon
  • 20 dates
  • Balsamic vinegar, dark
  • n. B. Walnuts, quartered

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Pit the dates and lightly spray the insides with balsamic vinegar (if you don’t have a spray bottle handy, just drizzle with a teaspoon). Fill the dates with the walnuts and wrap each one in a slice of bacon. If you like, you can also halve the bacon slices beforehand (then pierce them with a toothpick), increasing the amount of dates and walnuts accordingly. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan/convection oven) and bake the dates (on a baking sheet) for about 15-20 minutes, until the bacon is browned. If you don’t like scrubbing baking sheets, you can line the baking sheets with aluminum foil. The dates are delicious both hot and cold.
