Bacon wrapped in ham and bacon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g bacon (Black Forest broadside)
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 100g bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

For breakfast for a good start to the day

Separate the fat from the belly bacon and set the fat aside. Cut the remaining bacon into strips on the long side, making the profile as square as possible. Fry the bacon strips together with the trimmed fat in a pan over low heat for about 5 minutes, browning the outside of the bacon. Spread the breakfast bacon strips lengthwise on the work surface. Cut the cooked ham into long strips. The width should be just less than the width of the bacon. Then place 1-2 strips of ham lengthwise on each of the bacon strips. Place the fried bacon strips around the edge of the prepared bacon and ham strips and roll them up. Place the rolls in the pan and fry over low heat for about 3 minutes, then increase the heat and fry for 2 minutes until crispy.
