- 80 g butter

- 1 cube of yeast, fresh
- Powdered sugar, as desired
- cream
- 1 egg(s)
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
Crumble the yeast into a small, sealable bowl with 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Let it stand for 10 minutes. The yeast will liquefy and be ready to use. First, put all the dry ingredients in a large bowl, then add the softened butter, milk, and egg. Knead well until the dough pulls away from the bottom of the bowl and nothing sticks to your fingers. Add more flour if necessary. The dough needs to rise for at least 30 minutes until it has doubled in size. Then knead thoroughly again—this is also called beating. After the first rise, divide the dough into four pieces and roll out very thinly into a square, measuring approximately 25-30 x 25-30 cm. Trim the edges and set the strips aside; you’ll use them as string to wrap around the apple. Peel the apple and corer the inside. Place one apple on each square of dough and fill each with a domino. Add 1 teaspoon of jam and, if desired, raisins, and sprinkle with a little cinnamon. Gather the dough square into a pouch and twist the ends slightly so the ends are visible. Wrap one or two strips around the bag. Brush with an egg yolk and cream mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 160°C fan/180°C top and bottom heat for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot from the oven with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
