Baked Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g Brussels sprouts
  • salt water
  • 1 onion(s)
  • e.g. butter
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • nutmeg
  • pepper
  • basil
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

as a main course for 2 people, as a side dish for 4 people

Clean the cabbage and cook it in salted water for about 8 minutes. Dice the onion, fry it in butter, add the cleaned mushrooms, fry briefly, remove from the heat, and add the Brussels sprouts. Combine the sour cream and seasonings, mix with the vegetables, pour into a casserole dish, sprinkle with the Gouda cheese, and bake briefly at 180°C. Tip: If you’re only making this recipe for two people, it’s a good idea to mix everything in a pan and let the cheese melt with the lid on.
