Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g cheese (halloumi)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Thyme, dried or fresh
  • Pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Served on salad, summery and light

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Fold aluminum foil into a tray (or use an aluminum grill tray). Cut the halloumi into approximately 1 cm wide strips and place them in the tray. Make a marinade with honey, olive oil, plenty of thyme, and some freshly ground pepper and brush the halloumi generously on all sides. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until the halloumi begins to brown slightly. Tastes delicious on a light salad with a fruity dressing.
