Baked Pork Knuckle

Ingredients
 

  • 2 Ham ice cream legs approx. 1,100 gr
  • 5 L Water
  • 0,5 L Beer, I had Oettinger
  • 1 tbsp Ground caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp Whole caraway seeds
  • Pepper, ground garlic
  • 5 Bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp Juniper berries
  • 1 Silicone brush
  • Beet syrup

Instructions
 

  • Fill a large pot of water with approx. 5 liters and add the pork legs and all the caraway seeds as well as bay leaves and juniper berries. Simmer for about 2.5 hours. Take out and rub the pork knuckles with ground caraway seeds and garlic.
  • In a roaster, bake the pork legs with the brew about 2 liters in a preheated oven at 180 degrees top-bottom heat without a lid for 2 hours. Gradually fill up with beer.
  • Turn on the grill shortly before the end and spread it with sugar beet syrup, it is very dark and this is what the meat looks like, crispy dark so not V E R B R A N T !!! smile We had potato gratin and onion vegetables Enjoy your meal.
