Baked schnitzel from the oven

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pork schnitzels (top/bottom leg)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 1 cup herb sour cream or crème fraîche with herbs
  • 75 g Gouda, grated
  • 2 potatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Grease a baking dish. Drizzle the schnitzels with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Place in a greased baking dish. Mix the sour cream, pour it over the schnitzels, and spread it evenly. Coarsely grate the potatoes, squeeze dry, and spread evenly over the schnitzels. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. Remove after 10 minutes, sprinkle with grated cheese, return to the oven, and bake until the cheese is golden brown.
