Baked spaetzle

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 bunch of oregano
  • 1 bunch of thyme
  • 2 bunches of parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 300g Camembert(s)
  • 100 g Parmesan or Grana Padano
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 g spaetzle

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the spaetzle as usual until al dente. Preheat the oven. In the meantime, chop the onions, garlic, oregano, thyme, and parsley. Pour the olive oil into a baking dish and roast the onions in the preheated oven at 200°C for about 15 minutes. Then add the warm, cooked spaetzle to the baking dish, mix well with the herbs, garlic, and heavy cream, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cut the Camembert into thin slices and spread over the spaetzle with the Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25 minutes at 200°C (do not grill!).
