Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 bag of gnocchi, approx. 500 g
- 1 onion(s)
- Butter for frying
- 500 minced meat
- 1 egg(s)
- Breadcrumbs
- Spice mix (minced meat spice)
- 1 gr. can/n peas and carrots
- 200 ml cream
- 500 ml water
- 3 tsp vegetable stock powder
- salt and pepper
- possibly sauce thickener if required
- 3 balls of mozzarella
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Cook the gnocchi, drain, and fry in a little butter in a pan until golden brown. Then place the gnocchi in a large, shallow baking dish. Finely chop the onion and add it to the pan, along with a little butter. Meanwhile, make mini meatballs by adding the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, and seasoning. Add them to the pan and fry with the onions until the balls are cooked through. Then add the peas and carrots and deglaze with cream and water. Add the vegetable stock powder and season with pepper. Add the sauce thickener to achieve the desired thickness. Pour the contents of the pan over the gnocchi. Slice the mozzarella and scatter over the top. Bake everything in a hot oven at 180°C (convection oven) for about 15 minutes.
