  • 3 onions
  • some broth
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Vegetarian and hearty, quick as a side dish to many meat dishes

Peel the potatoes and onions and cut into even slices or rings. Layer both ingredients alternately in a baking dish. Season lightly with pepper and salt occasionally. Pour in the broth until the potatoes are lightly covered. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 30-35 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on the type and quantity of potatoes. Pierce the potatoes occasionally to check they are cooked through. When the potatoes are soft and the top layer has turned a light brown, they are ready to serve. The potatoes go well with pork schnitzel, panhas, or other meat dishes.
