Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 225 g flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tbsp water, cold
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ½ tsp bitter almond flavoring
  • 30 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 15 g almond(s), ground
  • 150 g jam (cherry or raspberry)
  • 6 cherry(s), candied

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Make a shortcrust pastry from the first three ingredients and chill for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 180°C and grease 12 baking tins. For the filling, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and almond extract. Fold in the flour and ground almonds, and mix well. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and cut out circles. Line the baking tins with them. Fill each with a teaspoon of jam and pile the filling on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then top with half a candied cherry.
