Ingredients

  • 300 g Salt stick dough
  • 4 Grilled Nuremberg sausages
  • Of raw sausage mass for hearty pizza rolls
  • See my cookbook recipe: hearty pizza rolls "
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 Wiener sausages cut into 4 parts
  • 200 g Grated cheese

Instructions

  • Roll out the pretzel dough thinly and cut into 8 equal pieces.
  • First place 1 tablespoon of the remaining mixture for pizza rolls in the middle of the dough and top with a grilled or roasted Nuremberg sausage or a piece of wiener sausage on top!
  • Brush the edges of the dough with whisked egg yolk, wrap the filled dough into a roll and gently press the edges together!
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let it rest for about 10 minutes! Bake in the oven at 175 degrees with warm air on the middle rack until evenly light brown.
  • These hearty sticks taste hot or cold and are always a hit with my grandchildren as well as adults!
  • Take out of the oven, sprinkle with some grated cheese or just serve without cheese!
