Balsamic Cream tastes great with salads and fresh vegetables. The cream is easy to make yourself and we have the recipe for you.

Make balsamic cream yourself – that’s how it works

To prepare 100 ml of cream you need 500 ml of fruit juice of your choice (e.g. apple, grape, or pear juice), 500 ml of vinegar (red wine, white wine, or fruit vinegar), 2 tablespoons of honey, and, depending on your taste, spices such as nutmeg or cloves.

  1. First, put all the ingredients in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
  3. Reduce the heat so the mixture is just simmering.
  4. Let the cream simmer for about 1-2 hours, stirring frequently.
  5. Do this until the mixture has a syrup-like consistency.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat and let the cream cool.
  7. Then fill them into clean, sterilized bottles.
  8. The cream will keep for a few months in the fridge.

This salad tastes great with balsamic cream

So that you can use the balsamic cream right away, we have a recipe for a mixed salad. You will need 1 romaine lettuce, 1/2 cucumber, 1 bell pepper, 1 carrot, 100g cherry tomatoes, 60ml vegetable oil, and salt and pepper.

  1. First, wash and clean your vegetables, and then cut everything into small pieces.
  2. Put the vegetables in a bowl and mix them together well.
  3. Add the balsamic cream and vegetable oil.
  4. Then season the salad with salt and pepper. Of course, you can also add other spices.
  5. Finally, give everything a good stir again so that everything is well mixed.
