Balsamic Strawberry Drink

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g strawberries, ripe
  • 2 sprigs basil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 8 cubes of crushed ice
  • 100 ml mineral water, ice-cold
  • Pepper, black, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the strawberries and drain well. Remove the stems and halve or quarter them. Pluck the lower leaves from the basil sprigs and cut into strips. Place the strawberries, basil, honey, balsamic vinegar, and crushed ice in a large food processor with a little mineral water and blend until smooth. Pour into two large glasses, grind pepper over them, and serve garnished with the basil sprigs or leaves. Tip: If it’s not strawberry season, buy frozen strawberries and omit the ice cubes.
