Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg ice cream (vanilla)
  • 3 bananas
  • 125 ml sauce (chocolate dessert sauce)
  • 150 g almond(s), slivers
  • 4 tbsp brown rum

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

refined vanilla ice cream

Thaw the vanilla ice cream until it’s stirrable. It mustn’t be too runny. For regular ice cream, this takes about 1 hour in the refrigerator, or 30 minutes at room temperature. For Langnese cremissimo, it only takes 2-3 minutes. It’s important that the ice cream is absolutely fresh. Cut the bananas into pieces and stir them into the ice cream with the chocolate sauce, almond slivers, and rum. If children are eating with you, you can omit the rum or replace it with caramel sauce, for example. Refreeze the ice cream immediately. It’s ready to serve after about 1 hour. To be on the safe side (especially in summer), consume within 24 hours of making it.
