Using the first seven ingredients, prepare a yeast dough in the Thermomix for 5 minutes on the dough kneading setting and let it rise for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, wrap 8 empty beverage cans in aluminum foil. Roll out the yeast dough on a floured work surface or a silicone mat and cut into strips approximately 1.5 cm long. Carefully but tightly wrap the strips in a spiral around the can until you reach the bottom of the can. Brush the dough with melted butter and roll it in a cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 15 minutes. Remove the Striezel from the oven and carefully remove the cans. Arrange and serve. I served the Striezel with lukewarm chocolate sauce. Chop the dark chocolate coating into small pieces and heat 300 g of cream in a saucepan, but do not let it boil. Add the chocolate coating and whisk until well blended. Whisk the remaining cream and serve in the same way. Now you can dip the Striezel (which is best eaten with your fingers) in chocolate and/or cream to your heart’s content.
