BBQ bread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g minced beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 450 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 250 g quark, 20%
  • 50 ml Cremefine, 7%
  • Olive oil (a good splash)
  • 50 g fried onions
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • Spice(s), e.g. basil, BBQ spice mix
  • e.g. cheese, diced (Maasdamer)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Brown the ground beef with salt and pepper until crumbly. Using a dough hook, combine the 7 ingredients for the dough until a dough forms. Don’t be surprised if it’s a bit sticky; that’s completely normal. Add the ground beef, fried onions, BBQ sauce, and seasonings to taste (I used basil and a BBQ seasoning mix) and knead everything thoroughly again. Now pour the finished dough into a greased loaf pan and spread it evenly. Then press the cheese cubes into the dough. Bake at 180°C (convection oven) for approximately 45-60 minutes (test with a toothpick).
