Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 g beef
- 125 g bacon, diced
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 bell pepper(s), green
- 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
- 1 can kidney beans
- 3 tbsp oil
- 200 g rice (long grain), uncooked
- 40 g tomato paste
- 1 can of tomatoes (pizza)
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, rose hot
- salt and pepper
- 350 ml meat broth
- 250 ml water

delicious variation with peppers and bacon
Cut the beef into very fine cubes. Peel and finely dice the onions, trim the bell peppers and cut into strips. Rinse the beans in a sieve with cold water and drain. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meat cubes until crispy. Add the bacon and onion cubes and fry briefly. Add the rice and fry, stirring, until translucent. Mix in the bell pepper strips and tomato paste and fry briefly. Stir in the beans and tomatoes with their juices, season with paprika and salt, add the meat stock and water, bring to a boil, and simmer with the lid on for about 20 minutes over reduced heat. Stir occasionally. Season again with salt and a little black pepper and serve.
