Beef Fillet Steak with Sweet Potato Fries and Stir-fried Vegetables

The perfect beef fillet steak with sweet potato fries and stir-fried vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Beef fillet
  • 3 Pc. Sweet potatoes
  • 1 Pc. Zucchini
  • 3 Pc. Paprika
  • 1 packet Panicle tomatoes
  • 0,25 Pc. Cauliflower fresh
  • 1 Pc. Onion red
  • 100 g Cheese
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • Rosemary
  • Paprika powder
  • Garlic powder

Cheese Craker

  1. Cut the cheese into small strips or cubes and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper so that five equally large piles of approx. 2 cm are formed. Put the baking tray covered with cheese in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 10 minutes so that the cheese runs and becomes hard. After baking, place in a cool place and season with pepper and garlic powder as needed.

Stir-fry vegetables

  1. Wash the cauliflower and cut it into larger pieces. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and lightly salt, then the cauliflower is cooked in it for 5-10 minutes. After boiling, switch back to a low level. After cooking, drain the water and briefly rinse the cauliflower with cold water so that it can no longer cook. Wash the zucchini and cut in half. Remove the inner softness from the zucchini. Wash the peppers and remove the core. Now peel the peppers off with a peeler. Remove the dry outer skin from the onion. Now the zucchini, bell pepper and the onion are cut into small or larger pieces, depending on your preference. Wash the vine tomatoes and grill them on a wire shelf for 10 minutes at 200 degrees in the preheated oven. In a hot pan with a little oil, fry the paprika, zucchini, onion and cauliflower well so that the roasted aromas develop. After about 5 minutes, switch back to a lower setting and add the grilled vine tomatoes.

Sweet potato fries

  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and peel them with a peeler. After peeling, the sweet potatoes are cut into 1 cm wide strips (similar to French fries). Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and boil the potatoes for 10 minutes. When the potatoes are cooked, they are seasoned in a bowl with olive oil, salt and paprika and mixed well. In the meantime, heat the deep fryer or a saucepan with fat (depending on availability). The potatoes are then fried in hot fat until they are nice and crispy (depending on the fryer or pot, different time / in about 5-10 minutes).

steak

  1. It is best to take the meat out of the refrigerator before processing so that it is at room temperature shortly before frying. Cut the beef fillet steak (if it is still in one piece) into five equal-width pieces. Heat a little oil or butter in a pan. Now fry the five equal pieces of meat in the hot pan for about 3 minutes on each side so that the “pores” close. Also fry well on the sides so that each side is nice and brown. Take the meat out of the pan and let it roast on a wire rack for about 5-10 minutes in the preheated oven to 160 degrees. In the meantime, peel the garlic clove and press lightly with the tip of a knife. Then cut the garlic and fry it hot in a pan with butter and rosemary. When the meat is done in the oven, it is briefly tossed again in the pan with the garlic and butter and fried, depending on how well it should be. To serve, place the meat on a preheated plate with the pan-fried vegetables and sweet potato fries (which are also seasoned with salt and paprika) and place the cheese craker on top.
