Beef with mushroom and herb sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 steak(s) of beef or beef schnitzel
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tsp herbs (8 herbs)
  • salt and pepper
  • ⅛ liter sour cream
  • butter
  • 2 tbsp flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Brown the beef in butter, add water, season with salt, and cook until tender (in a pressure cooker, about 35 minutes). Keep the schnitzel warm and use the broth to pour over the beef. Finely chop the mushrooms, finely dice the onion, and sauté in butter. Add the mushrooms and sauté for about 3 minutes. Cover with broth and water, if desired, season with salt, and add 2 teaspoons of 8-herb seasoning. Whisk the cream with flour and a little water, mix with the mushrooms, bring to a boil briefly, season with salt and pepper, and briefly add the beef schnitzel to the sauce. Serve with bread dumplings or noodles.
