Beef with Plums and Mushrooms

The perfect beef with plums and mushrooms recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Beef fillet
  • 2 cm Fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 medium sized Orange peppers
  • 100 g Fresh mushrooms
  • 6 Pc. Fresh plums
  • 250 ml Plum fruit juice
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Food starch
  • 0,25 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 0,25 tsp Mustard powder
  • 1 tsp Orange zest
  1. Wash the beef fillet, pat dry and cut narrow strips. Peel and grate the ginger. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or pan and heat both for about 3 minutes. Fry while stirring, then remove.
  2. Wash, dry, clean, core and dice the pepper. Clean the mushrooms, grate with a damp cloth and cut into slices. Wash, dry, halve, core and slice the plums.
  3. Heat the remaining oil (1 tablespoon of oil) in the wok and stew the mushrooms and peppers in it for about 3 minutes. Add the plums and simmer for another 2 minutes. Mix the plum juice, lemon juice, soy sauce and cornstarch and add to the wok. Season with cinnamon powder, mustard powder and orange peel and bring to the boil.
  4. Boil the sauce until creamy. Add the beef with ginger, heat and serve. Rice tastes very good with it.
