Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 m.-large beetroot
  • 400 ml oil for frying
  • some salt

Instructions

A tasty and decorative eye-catcher!

Peel the beets (wear disposable gloves) and slice or slice thinly. Heat the oil (corn oil is best) in a deep fryer or wok to 175 degrees Celsius. Fry the beetroot slices in batches for 4 to 5 minutes each. Remove the finished chips, drain on kitchen paper, and season with salt. The chips make a decorative addition to steaks or roast beef, for example, and taste delicious with sour cream.
